About the Role
- We’re on the lookout for an Intermediate Accountant who’s AT qualified (or nearly there) and ready to step up.
- You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative crew who believe in teamwork, straight talk, and enjoying the work we do.
- You’ll work on a mix of financials, GST, payroll, and tax, gaining real experience across different industries. This role gives you space to grow, the support to learn, and the freedom to make an impact.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and GST returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with legislation.
- Liaise with the IRD and handle ACC matters for clients.
- Support senior accountants and team leaders with projects and advisory work.
- Build great relationships with clients and deliver clear, practical financial advice.
- Find smarter, more efficient ways to get things done - innovation’s part of our DNA.
Who You Are
- 2–4 years’ accounting experience in public practice (or equivalent).
- AT qualified (or working toward it).
- Solid knowledge of NZ tax, GST, and compliance requirements.
- Confident using Xero and Office 365 (and open to learning new tools).
- A dependable, proactive team player who takes pride in quality work.
- A positive attitude - you bring energy, curiosity, and good vibes to the team.
